SIX CHARACTERS
La MaMa, The Club
15 - 17 January 2026
In a world of growing hatred, this 40-minute wordless piece becomes a fragile, human story of one person’s need for another. Built without words, the piece continues Trukhin’s search for a new theatrical vocabulary shaped by silence, clowning, and the forgotten chemistry between performers and audiences.

To feel what
is most valuable
“I have lost trust in words because they have lost their meaning for me. We are living in a time of growing hatred, where aggression is becoming the norm. The more this aggression and hatred grow, the more I, as a director, feel compelled to respond by rejecting words and creating a performance about one person’s love for another, a space where there is no hatred or violence. At least for an hour and a half.”
— Egor Trukhin,
director and founder of Trukhin Ark
You can be part of this
From January 15 to 17, we will show a 40-minute excerpt in a workshop format, and we would be delighted to have your support and presence.
Our goal is to show this work in its entirety in New York (and beyond), so the support of the professional community and audiences is important to us. Just as this performance was assembled from small pieces contributed by each member of the team, we invite you to become part of this project and help us present it in its entirety.

If you’re a producer, sponsor, or someone who believes in independent voices — we’d love to connect.
